Report Formatting Automation Program — Delivered to aT
A Windows app that turns source material in various formats into drafts of five report types and outputs them in aT's HWP templates along with a PDF for review.
OutcomeDelivered — a staff member's personal request

What can be cut from repetitive report writing
At the personal request of a staff member in the Data Business Department of the Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation (aT), I designed and developed a program that automates report formatting. The work ran from Jul 20 to Jul 22, 2026.
Review reports, work plans, results reports, meeting results, and press releases each differ slightly in format, but every time someone has to check the outline and move material over. I first broke down the required structure of the five document types and turned it into criteria for the program to check.
From source material to an HWP document
The app reads TXT, MD, HWP, HWPX (Hancom Office document formats), DOCX, text-based PDFs, and notes, and builds the handoff text needed for drafting. Answers the user brings back are checked for missing sections and [확인 필요] (“needs verification”) items before they go into the draft.
On Windows 10/11 with Hancom Office installed, it writes into an open document or makes a copy of the reference template, and outputs HWP/HWPX together with a PDF for review. I worked from copies so the original template is never edited directly.
The app itself does not connect to any AI API or to the internet. Users copy material and answers across by hand, which limits the automation to checking document structure and applying templates.
What is public
This was development done at a staff member’s personal request and is unrelated to any official order, contract, or quality certification by the corporation. The personal information of the requester and the verifier, and the original letter of confirmation, are not disclosed.
